Henry Bear of the Maine Green Independent Party has been added as a write-in candidate for election to the State Senate to represent District 2.
The first elected member of the Houlton Band of Maliseets to be sworn in to the Maine House of Representatives, Bear works tirelessly to empower native communities and bring about civil rights & environmental reform.

Bear is committed to aiding and empowering Indigenous peoples. A member of the Maliseet tribe, Bear emphasizes the importance of preserving native culture while evolving the native community. In addition to teaching and offering legal counsel to native people, Bear actively advocates for local tribal rights and education in regards to historic treaties.
